Heidrun Demo has a Degree for Nursery and Primary School Teachers and a PhD in General Pedagogy, Social Pedagogy and General Education, both from Free University of Bozen Bolzano.
She is at present Associate Professor in Inclusive Education at the Faculty of Education of the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen and
Director of the Competence Centre of School Inclusion.
She has worked in several research projects in the field of inclusive education, in mainly three areas: critical analysis of inclusion in the Italian school system, inclusive school development and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom.
At the Competence Centre for School Inclusione through research activities she aims at presenting and discussing research evidences from the Italian and South Tyrolean inclusive school system in international scientific network and developing inclusion in local kindergardens and schools through practice relevant research.
Her vast experience is now joined by her appointment as external evaluator of the Entender Project.
